Contact Us

The best way to find out about the club is to visit us and meet some members.

The club is open on Sundays during terms 4 and 1 from 8.30am until about 4pm.

Our club is run by volunteers, so if your query cannot answered by the frequently asked questions (FAQs) and you’ve had a good look through the website, then send us a message and we will get back to you, hopefully within a couple of days.

Flying Eleven Day - Sunday 26th June

Adele Phillips

We are excited to announce our Flying Eleven (F11) open day this Sunday 26th June 2022.

Our Winter Sailing group will be sailing the club Flying Elevens in the morning. Any sailing school participant from this past season (term 4 2021 and term 1 2022) is welcome to join in the fun, from 10am-12pm.

The sailors, supported by our qualified coaches, will learn the fundamentals of flying eleven steering and crewing.

The forecast is for light winds, perfect for having a go in a new boat. F11s have three sails, a mainsail (like sabots and PJs), a jib (like a pacer) and spinnaker, an additional sail that is hoisted when sailing on a reach or downwind. Interested to see what the F11s are like in action? Check out this short youtube video.

Participates must be club members & be accompanied at the clubhouse by a parent/guardian.

This is a free event for members only. Places are limited, RSVP here by Friday 23rd June 2022.

Season Presentation 2022

Adele Phillips

Sunday 15th May 3pm

The Season Presentation is a celebration of the sailing season for the sailors and parents alike. This day recognises the efforts and successes of our sailors across all fleets. This includes our sailing school participants from term 1, who will receive their graduation certificates on the day.

All competitors, members, sailing school participants and their families are invited to the Season Presentation to enjoy a free family dinner on the day. The canteen will be open to purchase beverages. Why not bring a dessert to share. Please RSVP here to help us cater for the event.

On the day we will also be taking our annual stair photo. This tradition has been has been at VA12SC for generations and due to COVID constraints we haven’t taken this photo in 2 years.

The attached stair image is from 1993 Dennis Conner, American Cup Winner.
